My Daughter and Me

I live in a beautiful home in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. My wife and I moved here shortly before our daughter was born. Soon afterwards I had an accident on the job and fractured my spinal column. The accident occurred in December of 2011 and my daughter was born in January.  Ever since then I have been a stay at home dad. I couldn't be happier with being the one responsible for taking care of my daughter. I love her to death and we have a wonderful time together every day.

From what I gather, men are not usually very good at nurturing their children... This comes from my knowledge of other men as well as the countless articles on child care that tend to not only gear towards women but specifically advise women on how to get the fathers involved in their child's life. I don't understand this. I guess men are normally raised in a more masculine fashion that doesn't involve the thought of child development. I guess that is why I have developed this website- a reference guide for other stay at home fathers or new parents who have no idea what they need to do in order to raise their child effectively.
